Mathematics of Language everywhere 2026
MOLe 2026 is an online offshoot of the bi-annual Meeting on the Mathematics of Language. We hope that a fully online conference will make it easier for the whole MOL community to meet and exchange novel ideas and insights. MOLe 2026 is being organized by the Department of Linguistics at Stony Brook University (Stony Brook, NY, USA). The date is still to be determined.
MOLe falls under the umbrella of the Association for Mathematics of Language, which is a Special Interest Group of the Association for Computational Linguistics.
Scope
Mathematics of Language is the study of mathematical structures and methods that are of importance to the study of language. It includes work at every level of linguistic structure, and involves applications of both discrete and continuous maths, as well as statistics.
For additional background, please see the call for papers and MOL’s open-access proceedings series.
